This is pretty cool https://hacktoberfest.com/
I think I’ve heard of this before but haven’t participated. I’m not participating this year either due to my work and school load – but I’m inspired. So here’s what I’m going to do. I’m basically working on frontend dev for work and ML/AI for school.
I’ll post daily updates here and any progress I’m making. Where I’m at with school… Every week so far has been a challenge. I’m basically working on homework anywhere from 10-20 hours a week. Clocked 25 hours one week. Sometimes I’m playing catch up.
For work, we’re developing an app. I can’t discuss the details of it so I’m going to work on a side project. A foodie blog of sort. I’ve hired a mentor on https://mentorcruise.com/ to help me work though it. I want to use nextjs/react since it seems to be at the top of front end development at this point in time. I’ve been slowly learning it over the past few months but I run into road blocks from time to time so having a mentor to bounce ideas off of will be good.
Welp, here’s to day 1. Let’s go.
